Elvira Guerrero joined Home State Bank in 2019 as Trust Administrator. Her excellent work ethic and astute knowledge earned Elvira her first promotion within two years to Assistant Vice President & Assistant Trust Officer. In April of 2023, her work and contributions were recognized with her most recent promotion to Vice President and Trust Officer. Elvira is currently working to obtain her CTFA to better fulfill her fiduciary duties as a Trust Officer.
Previously as a legal assistant, Elvira was able to hone her skills in probate/estate matters, including guardianship for minors and disabled persons. The knowledge acquired as a legal assistant has been a valuable asset to the Trust Department. Elvira’s handling of complex pleadings in her prior work experience enables her to accurately review and analyze trust documents for administration.
Prior to joining Home State Bank, Elvira managed the day-to-day activities of a small legal firm and worked closely with the attorney not only as his legal assistant, but in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of a privately-owned financial institution in McHenry County. As Personal Assistant to the Chairman of the Board, Elvira also helped to administer a small charitable organization created by a bank client in the city of McHenry. That small charitable organization has grown and today, Elvira continues to help administer a private family foundation in the area.
